What should I do if I receive replication Alarms from Contrail?

System Administrators should first check with their IT resources to determine if network maintenance might be affecting database replication.

If no known outages exist, the next steps would be to login into your Contrail administration pages using the domain names or IP addresses for each individual server. You will be commanding a server restart from the administration interface to attempt to force a database reconnect.

In Contrail 6, navigate from the Administration environment to Configuration > Settings > Remote.
In Contrail 8, navigate from the Administration environment to Configuration > Settings > Servers.

From there, select the server name that matches the server you are logged into. From the Server dropdown menu, select Restart - this will queue a restart command on that server. You may need to wait up to 2 minutes for the server to restart before refreshing your page.

If the replication Alarm still has not Cleared awhile after restarting the servers, reach out to Contrail Support for next steps in investigation.
