What is my Internet IP address?

For security reasons often times network or firewall administrators want to know the WAN IP address your traffic is coming from.

This is not the local LAN IP address, but what external IP address is presented to them.
You local network should be able to give you that information.

If your desktop is on the same network segment you can check your address using your browser

If you are connected to your on premises (self-hosted) Contrail® instance using the Linux console you can use the curl command to query for the WAN IP.
